I just learned of Mr. Booth's passing today, and am saddened by his passing.

I served with Lt Booth on the USS Myles C Fox (DD-829) in 1969 - 1970. He was a fine and capable officer.

My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace and be favored with fair winds and following seas.

Jenny,
Our prayers and thoughts go out to you during this difficult time. How wonderful for you to have ALL your loving family to carry you through these days with support, laughter and special memories. Michael is surely at peace - he is with God and all those who passed whom he loved. He is also so happy he left you in good hands here on earth!
Dad and I are so looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks. Celebrating Michaels life with you will be our honor.
Be well and know as always
We love you,
Dad, Mom Emma, John, Sarah Grace, Terri , Tom, Colleen and Andrew.

My sadness extends beyond self and out to Michael's children Pat and Mike Jr. Your Dad was very proud of you both. He was especially proud of what loving and attentive fathers you have both become. He was proud of the strong men you are; displayed by the way you stepped up to the plate and went to bat for him in his time of need: with no battlefield training. How did you do that? He told me this more than once. He loved your spouses, Jenni and Diana and of course he just cherished the grandchildren, Megan, Rachael, Anna, Sarah, Michael, Emma and James. Michael also considered my son Matt and Roland and his spouse Doreen as well as my grandchildren Josh and Caitlin, part of the family. Michael loved his family.

My condolences to the five siblings, Skip, Pete, Chris, Martha, and Libby. Words cannot describe the love and devotion displayed within our home during the past six months as each and everyone of you visited your brother. We shared much laughter, tears, and hope as we encouraged and comforted Michael during his long journey. I got to know all of you just a little bit more and it was truly very supportive and heart warming. It felt like I had five shoulders to lean on in the storm. Well, more than that including spouses. The calls and cards were also very uplifting.

To Aunt Joanie and Unc. my deepest sympathy. Many times Michael told me stories from his childhood about you. He just loved and adored you both. Twice he purchased airline tickets so I could meet his Aunt Joanie and Unc. The first time a Lake Effect snow storm drove us back. Another time illness grounded us. In Michael's honor I hope to meet you in the Spring. When does it stop snowing? Thank you for your cards, prayers, gifts, and e-mails.

Nieces, nephews, and cousins, I know you will miss your Uncle Mike. Thank you for the cards, gifts and visits. They really brightened his day.

Friends and neighbors near and far thanks for the cards and calls. A special thanks to Mike's neighbor June. Although a neighbor for thirty years, she had not met all of Mike's family. She had so much love and respect for Mike that she freely opened her home to family as they came to visit. She helped Mike and I with errands including grocery runs when it was impossible for me to leave the house. She transported family to and from the airport and much more. She will miss her dear friend and neighbor.

Finally I myself miss Michael every day, every hour, every moment. I am constantly reminded that he is gone in body but not in spirit. The things he loved surround me. The hummingbirds are humming, the flowers are blooming, Bella is still jumping in his chair, the grandchildren are still laughing and playing, and all of your love embraces me. Thanks to all of you, I feel the peaceful comfort of his spirit.

“Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky in the morning, sailors warning.”
My beloved husband; may your night sky always be red and your day sky always blue.
Farewell my love, we will all miss you.
Your loving wife

I am sitting here this morning, reflecting on Mike. I had the privilege of knowing him for 30+ yrs. Not only my neighbor but valued friend through the years. He will be missed greatly but I know he is in a better place, at peace. Gin Gin added so much to his life. Grateful they had their time together. His love of country and family was so strong. That passion also made him a great friend. Thank you for all the memories of good times, laughs and ways that you helped me. Thank you my friend. I will see you again.

Grandpa was the best grandpa ever. He was strong and brave. Grandpa i just want to say thank you for everything that you did with NOT just me,but Rachael,Michael,James,Mommy,Daddy,Anna,Sara,Emma,Aunt Jenni, and Uncle Pat. We all know that you are in a better place now. Here are some of the things that grandpa did with us: play dates, rollerskating, turtle pond(which was his favorit) scooter path, and family dinners, and much much more. But grandpa WAS THE BEST GRANDPA EVER!!!!! We all will miss you. And the most important thing is that we love you very very much! Mr. Booth was a patient at a medical office where I was previously employed. He was always so pleasant and always talked about his family, especially his grandchildren. I thanked him often for serving our country. Know his family will truly miss him. I feel blessed that I had the pleasure of knowing him. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.

I'm proud to call Mike 'Brother'. I've never known a more honorable and decent man. He was a rock with a famous soft spot for Gin Gin and his grand kids. I'll miss his humor and his smarts. He was truly the best of us.

Many condolences to my great friend Chris Booth and his family on the loss of their brother.

I've only heard the secondhand stories about Mike from Chris and they couldn't mirror the honorable obituary any better.

Godspeed to you Mike.
