Im so sorry that I just found out about Brocks passing.. I knew Brock from his racing days with my brother Steve. Always a class act ( someone had to be!), and always wonderful to be around. Im so sad to hear he passed too early. I think of him often..

Boy, is this fella missed. Knew Brock early on from the time of his racing the 356 SC Coupe in Central Florida and the runs over to New Symrna Beach for time in the sun. Dad and I used to love the tales he told with that wonderful easy going style of his. Yes, indeed, THAT was a life well and truly lived. My condolences go out to his son and daughter.

I knew Brock during his Motor Trend Magazine years. He was one of the magazine's track test drivers, which meant his job was to run drag strip, slalom, skidpad and (occasionally) top speed tests on a couple hundred new cars each year.

His racing experience and natural talent behind the wheel let him get the absolute best performance times out of a car without crashing it. (An important skill!)

I learned a lot about smooth and fast driving from observing him, and trying to beat his times. All of our test drivers had a sporting camaraderie and each wanted to be the quickest. Brock very often was.

But, beyond Brock's driving skills, he was a truly great guy with a million interesting stories about his movie star buddies, racing career, and hanging out with colorful characters throughout his life.

His warm southern accent, handsome features and easy grin gave him the perfect appearance of a "race driver" as would be selected by Central Casting. So, yes, he was built for the job that was his passion.

I found Brock to always be kind-hearted, good-natured, humorous and ready to help anyone. His combination doesn't come around often enough.

RIP, old pal.

The world is a poorer place without "Brock" a friend and all round super guy, I don't think he had a bad bone in his body. A guy that wont pass this way again, he was always seen where the action was happening in racing. Going to miss your smile old mate. To his family, just remember the good times, the memories will last as long as you do, and you are better for his love. RIP mate.

My sincere condolences to Mike's family. What a great person and friend he was to anyone he met. I knew he through racing and we became friends and even almost neighbors when he lived in Sherman Oaks. He even taught me how to eat Sushi, which I had never done before. He brought enthusiasm, light and charm anywhere he went. I am sad for this loss. I hope one day to meet his son and daughter to share stories about their father. With Sympathy, Joe Cavaglieri
