So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. My sons and I had the pleasure of spending the better part of a summer surrounded by his enthusiasm for baseball. He gave his Royales team the season of a lifetime winning the 2013 AAYBA World Series in Denver. He not only taught them the sport, but also about persistence, discipline, growing up, and about not taking yourself too seriously. He maintained an interest in their development for years and was always happy to touch base about his players. Thank you for sharing your Dad with us and giving us one of the most memorable summers of our lives. I will miss that occasional text or email catching up with him. Rest easy, Mike, and thank you for the memories!

Mr. Bukowsky was one of my sixth grade teachers, and I was speaking with someone recently and recalled him. He was a great teacher, and the obit nails the person I remember. So sorry for your loss.

I think he was my sixth grade teacher and basketball coach at St. Ferdinand in Florissant. My class was all boys; he would toughen us up by having boxing sessions (with parental permission) at lunch and gauntlets to walk past in math class if we got an answer wrong. Really good guy and coach but didn´t want to set his temper loose. Again I hope I have the right person here. My condolences. His passing brought back good memories.
