I was sorry to learn recently of Mike's passing. He was a good man, had a great sense of humor, and I enjoyed the memorable though infrequent discussions we had over the years. Ever the entrepreneur and marketer, I originally met Mike when he approached me about advertising his new Christmas Tree farm on our fence in Deerfield. He ran a fantastic operation with some of the best looking trees in the area. Even after we moved from that house, we continued to visit his tree farm and purchase our trees from Ridges End. Our deepest condolences to his family. Godspeed, Mike.

Mike and I were on a the Stability Task Force of the newly formed New England Power Pool now ISO New England in the early 70s representing our companies. He was a team player while representing his company's interests and a very social and sociable friend.

Mike was my first boss back at PSNH in 1979 when I started my career in the industry. He was an incredibly smart engineer, a hard but fair taskmaster, a recognized industry subject matter expert and, a tireless worker. In the five years I worked for Mike, he taught me the solid fundamentals and foundations of the industry that allowed me to succeed in my own 40-year career, a debt I can never repay. I also have fond memories of all the good times we had outside the office as well. Mike was absolutely hilarious at times and always made many of us laugh. He was definitely one of a kind and he will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, RIP Mike.
