Thinking of you today and everyday. With the coming of fall, memories of you come flooding back. Going to a wedding the weekend of our anniversary ... and it is going to be tough. Places we enjoyed going to together just aren't the same without you. Miss you Mike.

My big brother Mike,
I write to you as if you are alive as you are more alive now than ever before. The bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.But....we will miss you here on earth and keep you alive in our hearts by our memories.
To me as a child you were a mixture of James Dean, and Troy Donahue....such a cool older brother, handsome and kind.
You took me on many bike rides, me sitting behind you hanging on for dear life.
I was the first girl after 3 boys so you know you "spoiled me" Then you grew up,went into the Air Force and a void was in my life as we drifted apart, busy lives, miles,et.
So very grateful we got to spend a few days with you and Kelly, laughing, crying, hugging,a couple of weeks ago.
I love you,give Mom,Dad,Dick,and JESUS a hug from me!

I have pleasant memories of my cousin Mickey. I remember trips to Superior to Linda and Clint's when I was young. Mickey was a cool guy back then. I lso remembet talking to Mike at the Johnson family reunions, most recently at my sister, Lynne's place, a few year ago. What a kind man Mike was. I was happy to meet his wife and adult kids. My sympathies to all of you. God bless you and yours.

My sympathy goes out to the family and i pray that fond memories and the love you shared comfort each of you during the difficult time. I only remember a few childhood trips to Duluth to visit Linda and Clint and my cousins but I know the family bond among the Johnson's is strong. May the family continue to be blessed with that bond! This is from Don's daughter Sherry.

I unfortunately do not remember too
much about Mike growing up. But luckily, I got to have a nice, long, warm conversation with him some months back. He explained about much he loved us all very much, and he just never would know what to say to us girls, but that he always thought about us....makes me smile even
now thinking of conversation.I'll miss you uncle Mike. Thank you for fighting for as long as you did, and many others I'm sure, and myself, am glad you are out of pain. Love you!

Due to the vast age difference between us I don't have alot of vivid memories of Mike. I do have some vague, but unmistakable ones however. My family was going through some disfunction when I was a boy. When looking back on some of the rough times, I see Mike's face, stong and concerned, yet calm and reasuring. I have been on several missionary trips in my adult life and while untrained and ill equiped to make any real difference, I found myself looking upon the pain and suffering of the people very much aware of that very same look on my own face, because when all else fails your face reflects whats in your heart. This might explain his very large face.
