I only knew of Mikey through one of my dear friends, Janice Jinks and Mikey's oldest son, Brennen and Brennen's mother, Ashleigh Jinks Bloom. In seeing Mikey's picture I see very striking features in Brennen, especially that wonderful smile that will be etched in the minds of family and friends who loved him. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Jean, Cathy, Cyndie, and the Dimas family, I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Mikey. There are no words great enough to describe him. He not only touched my life, but the life of so many others. His work on earth was a great work. May God give you strength to endure Mikey's absence, for God will be your strength and refuge. May God's Peace and Comfort rest upon your family. You are in my prayers daily.

We are truly saddened by the unfortunate and untimely death of your son, father, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, godfather, cousin, boyfriend, and our friend Mikey. He was an amazing person who had a big heart and a big smile to match. His passing will surely leave a void in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Although no words can really help to ease the loss you all bear, just know that you all are very close in every thought and prayer. Mikey was one of my first friends when I moved here from Georgia almost 2 years ago. There was nothing he wouldn't do for a friend, nothing.... I lost my father this past April and he would always check on me to see if I was holding up ok. I was indeed the blessed one to have had him as a friend, he had a heart unlike any other. The mold was broken after God made him, there will never be another that could fill his shoes. I will always miss the way he could make someone laugh with a goofy look or a big smile. I think only Angels can glow that way....He was just that. An Angel that we were all borrowing. Mikey you will never be forgotten.

I first met Mikey through our mutual friend, John Jay. When Mikey lived next door to our ambulance station, he must have come over for volleyball games a hundred times. Always such a sweet guy & good sport. Our world is a little less bright today. Rest In Peace, dear brother and Peace be with your family.

I known Mikey for some time, we worked togeather at Lake Charles Diesel. He was a great coworker and friend. He would keep us laughing all the time with his jokes and stunts. Mikey will be truly missed by a lot of people. Me and Mikey would share storys about being in the National guard, the good times and bad times. My thoughts and prayers are with Mikeys familey.

I didn't know Mikey very well, but he was great to be around. I know what y'all are going through, I lost my dad in Feb. and the memory is still fresh. I will be thinking of y'all during this time. God bless your family.

I am blessed to have had Mikey as a good friend...his smile was bigger than Texas, and he never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was one of those people who you knew you could go to if you ever needed anything, and he'd be there for you! I will miss him deeply...

I was lucky to have been able to spend some time with Mikey over the past year. He was still the same guy that he was in high school. Always joking, laughing, and smiling. I went to school with Mikey and only have beautiful memories of him. He was funny and kind and a rarity among the teenage crowd back then.
