EDEN - Michael Martin Dineen, 60, of 524 Boone Road, died Tuesday night, December 12, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 15, at Church of the Epiphany.
Mr. Dineen was born May 29, 1946, in Leaksville, to the late John Patrick and Leone Martin Dineen. He was a past member of the St. Joseph of the Hills Catholic Church. Mr. Dineen had been an active member of his community and had served as past president of Meadow Greens County Club as well as the former chairman of the fund raising drives held to construct the new facility of the Eden Boys and Girls Club. He was formerly the executive vice president of Manufacturing for the blanket mill division of Fieldcrest and more recently the owner of Party City in Asheville.
Surviving are son, Michael-Jon Patrick Dineen of Boone; brothers, Babby Dineen of Eden and John Patrick Dineen of Ill; nieces, Dr. Brooke Barham of Mt. Airy and Conner Evans of Winston-Salem; nephews, Britt Barham of Chapel Hill and Jarrette Dineen of Winston-Salem; grandnieces, Carlisle and Joiner Evans of Winston-Salem.
The family will receive friend from 7 until 9 Thursday evening at Fair Funeral Home.
Memorials donations may be made to Boys and Girls Club of Eden, 1026 Harris St., Eden, N.C. 27288.

mike was one of a kink. everyone loved him. i worked for him at blanket finishing mill, you would never know he had a hihh position.i really am sorry for the family's loss.

Michael-Jon and family, I am sorry to hear about Mike. I just wanted to let you and your family know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. He was loved by so many, I don't believe he ever met a stranger. He will be missed. Michael-Jon take care of yourself.

Mike was a very special person to me. I had the privilege of working with him for nine years at Party City. I will miss him very much. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends.I know he is in a special place looking over all of us.
