Michael Duca Obituary
He was a dedicated husband who loved his wife with all his heart. Angela and Michael were best friends and their love for each other was evident every day of the 14 years they were together. Their love will continue forever.
Michael was a very loving father. His son David was the light of his life. They loved swimming in the ocean of Sagamore Beach, playing basketball, fishing and taking adventures through the Indian path. Michael also enjoyed snowboarding, loved hockey, and took any chance he had to show his son the wonderful things that this world has to offer. His son adored him and looked up to him as the hero in his life.
Michael was loved by all of his family and friends. He had the ability to talk to complete strangers and make a lifelong friend after only a short conversation. He could relate to everyone and never judged or turned away anyone who needed help or comfort.
He was a true craftsman in his work. His work ethic was shown through the countless letters from customers praising the quality and care he put into every job.
He now rests peacefully in the arms of the Lord with his brother David M. Duca, cousin Nathaniel Fine, and all his family and friends who have gone before him. He will be missed and loved forever.
A Visitation with Michael's family will be held at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Boulevard in Bourne on Wednesday, July 20, from 4-8pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd. in Sandwich on Thursday, July 21, at 11:00am.
Burial will be held privately.

What I remember most about Michael was his open heart and easy smile. His last words to Richie were "I love you". That is who Michael was....he will be missed deeply.

Dear Angela, David and family, Michael was One-Half of my favorite Sagamore Beach couple. Michael was always ready to help someone in need. I remember the time I was using a way too short ladder on my house---he worried for my safety and was insistent on supplying the proper sized ladder. The roofs that he installed on my cottages were always perfect. He was always so appreciative for the work and I was always so appreciative for a job well done! He was a real gentleman too..so very polite..there was never a time I drove by that I didn't get a big giant wave! And of course Angela and David were the lights of his life. Michael and Angela always being so careful of David on busy Bradford Road...I will miss his smile, his friendliness and his kindness. May all the wonderful memories that you have help to sustain you during this most difficult time. Hopefully Heaven is equipped with a front set of stairs, so on a quiet night, Mike can be there, waving to all the passersby. With love, Mrs. A
