Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
~St. Matthew 5:5
Michael Edward Davis was born on May 10, 1962, to Mr. James Edward Davis and Mrs. Rosa Lee Vereen Davis in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
His father, beloved stepmother Mrs. Esterlean Frink Davis, and two step-sisters Annette Frink, and Cassandra Weaver, all preceded him in death.
In his early years, Michael attended elementary school through the New York City, NY education system. Later, he moved to the Pee Dee community in Williamsburg County, and graduated from Choppee High School in Georgetown County in 1980.
After High School, Michael joined the United States Navy where he faithfully served his country with two tours of duty and was honorably separated from service with a medical discharge
Following his military career, Michael furthered his education, attending Technical Colleges in both Virginia and South Carolina, with studies in Computer Programming. Michael was formerly employed with the City of Georgetown’s Sanitation Department, and also worked as an independent contractor repairing homes.
Michael joined in Holy matrimony to his childhood sweetheart, the former Miss Cementhia Lee Walker in October of 1985. Through this union four children were born, Karla, Monique, Michael (Little Mikey), and Ratonna (Tonna). Their beloved oldest daughter Karla preceded him in death.
Michael’s passion in life was his family whom he loved very dearly. He was happy when he was in the presence of his wife and children. Michael also had a special love for bass fishing.
He leaves to cherish his lasting memories: His loving wife of 38 years Cementhia Lee Davis of the home; his devoted children, Monique Davis of Juneau, Alaska, Michael Davis of Petersburg, Alaska, and RaTonna Davis of Juneau, Alaska; his dear mother, Mrs. Rosa Lee Vereen Davis; four brothers: Min. Roger Davis (Teresa), Reginald Davis (Tonya), Antwaine Davis (Monica), and Calvin Graham (Sabrena); one sister, Latonia Myers (Anthony); two step-sisters, Ms. Penny R. Frink, and Ms. Rosiland Frink; six grandchildren, Oakyle, Alexander, Namir. Kaleb, Amia, and Kannon; seven brothers-in-law, Early Walker (Mildred), James Walker (Darlene), Elijah Walker (Deloris), Larry Walker (Angela), Warren Walker (Terri), Terry Walker (Cassandra), Ronnie Walker; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Zeller Walker-Coles (Thomas); and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
