MICHAEL FABRE

Michael Duane Fabre Dad's legacy will be his love for his family and the generosity shown to all who knew him. He was born in Greenvale, Minnesota, Dec. 10, 1932, and joined the Airborne Rangers in 1953, serving in Korea. He met and married the love of his life, Retha Morrison, and settled in University Place in 1958. Dad put himself through college while raising his family, became a professional engineer, and opened a family business, M.D. Fabre & Associates. He had a stellar reputation built on honesty and integrity. Dan and I were honored to be at Dad's side when he passed away on May 14, 2016. He was a great man, and will be missed by all. He was predeceased by his wife Retha, grandson Nick Turner, parents Ruth and Russell Fabre, and in-laws Charles and Maureen Vaughan. He is survived by his sisters Bonnie and Nancy, son Steve (Kathleen), daughters Wendy Turner (Dan), Cory Valdes (Daniel), and Kristy (his special daughter and friend), grandchildren Ryan, Bree, Daniel, Josh, Adam, Cassidy, and Michael, great grandchildren Gavin, Nolan, Braydan, and Gianna, niece Kerry Messmer, great-nephew Charlie Messmer (Michelle), cousin and best friend Doug Fabre, and loving relatives on both sides. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Franciscan Hospice.
