I just learned of Mike´s passing yesterday. I´m having a difficult time finding the appropriate words to express how much this is affecting me. It was many years ago that we were together but he has always held a special place in my heart. He was larger than life, he was my world. And I mean no disrespect by saying this. One of my fondest memories of Mike was the year that it snowed and there was rolling blackouts and it was very cold. He had a shop dog named Roschnere (I´m not spelling that correctly but I think it had something to do with roast an ear, as in corn or something like that) and a litter of puppies that were huddling in front of the heat lamps in a building outside the ranch. When the lamps were off the poor little guys were shivering and huddled on top of each other to try to stay warm. It broke my heart because he said that they were shop dogs, they´ll be ok. So before he got home, I brought them all inside and had them in the tub cleaning them up so they could stay inside. He walked in and instead of getting mad he smiled at me and said "oh Chubbo" (that´s what he called me) and let me keep them inside. I can still see his smirk. We shared a lot of great moments together. It was always fun when his crew was in town. Their handles were some of the best! I know our time together caused some chaos which I am so sorry for. It was not my intentions. The last time I saw Mike, we shared a good laugh about it. I want to express my deepest condolences to his wife, kids and family. I know his family meant everything to him and you were all blessed to call him husband, dad, son, brother. He definitely will be missed but I hope your memories can be of some comfort for you. I´m having a hard time wrapping my head around this but I believe this was all God´s plan so for whatever reason He felt to bring him home, must be a much larger plan than He had for him here on earth. My world is a little darker now that my Hollywood sign has dimmed. RIP Mikey. Until we meet again.

Mike,I met you only 5 years ago at your shop,it was mean to be,in those 5years we became so close, that I felt you were like the brother I never had,We talked philosophy, business, cars, politics, family whatever we had on in our minds that day.Met you for lunch at least twice a week,Remember you as the person who was always willing to help a fellow human irrespective of status, position in life or personal beliefs. The extraordinary tips to help young wait staff, they need money more than I do,he would say.Your generosity to others was beyond comprehension. You would often say we give everyone a chance to be our friend.I salute you and will always live fondly in my memory bank.Rest in peace and know I got your back brother, I will always be available to your loved ones.

Mike attended a class I taught for IGL Coatings. That weekend I gained a best friend who ended up being part of my close circle of friends. We began to talk and text daily about family, business , and cars. I had the privilege to be with him when he sold the "transit" car at Mecum... what a blast. My best memory was how he pushed me to be better and how happy he was for me the day I told him I purchased IGL Coatings USA. Love ya Mike and miss you everyday!

My sincerest and deepest condolences to his family. What a larger than life character, he was. The world got a little less bright without him in it.

Death leaves a heartache that will not heal
Love will leave memories, no one can steal.

May God bless his loved ones and keep them close.
RIP HOLLYWOOD

I met Mike at the auction about 30 years ago,he trucked all my cars. We became fast friend's. He was a book of knowledge when you had a question about car values. If you needed help fixing a car he knew the right person to call that was as genuine as him. I´m so sorry for your families loss.

One of my first memories is in the T Bucket going between campuses at SPC and as you all know, Mike was an enthusiastic gas pedal user. Long live those great memories.
