SHIELDS, Willie E. Age 66, departed this life on Sunday, September 27, 2015. He was born on January 6, 1949 to the late Georgianna and Eddie Shields in Belzoni, Mississippi. He was raised by his father and aunt, Ollie Mae Brown and attended High School in Jackson, Mississippi. Willie retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Shields and sister, Eddie Mae Shields. He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of 39 years, LaVonne Shields; (2) daughters, Michelle Harvin (Isaiah) and Marceea Shields; son, Marvin Worthy; (3) grandchildren, Kendric Dorsey, J'Anthony Taylor and D'Mauri Sledge; special aunt, Ollie Mae Brown; special riend, Tyron Waters; host of other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M., FRIDAY, October 2, 2015 at THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 Salem Ave., with Reverend Kendall Washington, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Shiloh Park Cemetery. On-line condolences may also be sent to the family at www.thomasfunerals.com
