Its been awhile since we've talked..I have left you a few voicemails & texts wondering how you were. I was very sad to hear the news. I am so glad I met you in EMT class & the times we shared doing homework, driving to class together singing "Smooth Criminal" & seeing you on the tragic day of 9/11. Since your death I had a dream about you, one that I was able to feel your hand touch mine & I feel more @ peace knowing that it was your way of telling me that you knew how I felt about you, even if all these years passed. I will never forget you.

I only knew Mike for a short time when he was in the same EMT class as me and my daughter back in 2001-2002. My daughter became friendly with him outside of class and he came to my house. He was always smiling and making us both laugh with his quick wit. We have never forgotten him and just recently brought him up, wondering how he was doing. My prayers are with you. One of the biggest regrets in my life is that we were not able to get to know each other. I always though that we would one day have that opportunity as adults. All I can say is regardless I have always thought about you and loved you in my own way. I hope that you are at peace....

I pray God will comfort you in your grief. It was a great privilege and a special time for me to know Mike. When I first met him, I saw a lot of myself in him as a cadet, and I looked forward to walking with him at the Academy for awhile. I'll look forward to seeing him again someday and continuing our friendship. He was a neat guy, and I am so glad we knew him.

We shared a lot as parents when our boys left home and went to USAFA and I am so glad I was able to meet Mike and that he and Scott got to meet each other. My deepest sympathies go out to all of you and we will be praying for you.

I just wanted to share with the Colamonico family that Mike was an awesome guy who brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. I went through basic training at USAFA with him and later on he was in Deuce with me. He will be missed by all and never forgotten.

To Michael's Family: It was a privilege and an honor for me to work with Michael. His personality and nature inspired me to do everything in my power and with my personal technical skills to allow him to become more mobile. I was so saddened by the loss of this lovely young man. I was even more moved to learn - as a very recent KIDNEY RECIPIENT MYSELF - that you had donated Michael's kidneys. You have no idea how much that meant to me, that Michael has given life to someone else. Please know that I am thinking of all of you and am honored to have had Michael in my life.

You will be greatly missed but never forgotten! Our thoughts and prayers and with your family.

Throughout this past week, Pam shared with us all that she learned about Michael and what a wonderful man he was. She also shared with us how wonderful you all have been to her.

What Michael (and you) did for my dear friend is remarkable and will never be forgotten.
