A very special man married 33 years to my friend of about 65 years. What a loss to Harlene and family and to the rest of the world. All that was said at the service was very very correct. My love to you Harlene.

Michael was a special man! Anyone who was close to Michael is going to feel a loss. Those closest to him are going to feel a huge loss. "What would Michael say? What would Michael want me to do? How can Michael's spirt best go forward?" The answer to each of these questions seems to contain love. Listen to others, help them the best you can, and let the know they are loved.

One thing about Michael that has not been mentioned. Michael was an avid Bible scholar. My best memories of Michael were the discussions of Bible passages and their effect on our lives. I will miss those discussions.

Mike was a great neighbor of over 30 years. He was always so careing and understanding and one of the most positive people I have ever known. He was always there when I needed family advice & particulary with our kids. He had an incredable insight & helped me be a better person. What more could you ask of anyone!!
Nannette, Chris, Jen & I will miss him so much!!!

Mike was an amazing educator. I taught next to him for years and saw how his students loved him. I have to say my favorite memory was the chariot races that were a yearly event. Mike was the best!

Michael was the first person who performed live on a guitar for me when I was 8 and we were at his parents house in Long Beach for Christmas. His funny rendition of Michael Rowed the Boat Ashore, will always live in my memory, as will he. Michael was also the first person I contacted before I became a teacher. He was somewhat of a mentor for me, and after speaking with him, I knew that teaching would be a wise career choice. I know that after his retirement from teaching, that he missed it very much. The children who lives were changed by Michael, are better for knowing him, as am I. Michael will be missed by everyone whose life he touched.

Michael was such a generous good-hearted person. He was one of the few people in this world who always tried to do the right thing. We will miss him terribly.
