Mike was a good guy and. friend. We had alot of fun together, played alot of basketball and enjoyed each others company. I was best man in his wedding ages ago. Mike was in California for so many years so long time no see. We were going to get together at our 50th high school reunion but extenuating circumstances for both.of us prevented that. I.know his family has wonderful.memories

I meet Mike 5 years ago, at a fly fishing class. we started talking about fishing and firearms, and we became instant friends The Mike I knew, he was a real kind man, and in the short 5 years that we were friends. I will miss him a lot. I think we used to talk once a week. I know Mike is fishing in heaven. Your friend Charlie

My mother, Hertha Theede, was sister to Michael's mother, Anne. John and I lived in Park Jefferson while Anne and Mike were there. Rest in peace, Michael.

Michael was an amazing instructor and friend. I was fortunate enough to have such an amazing person help shape my life. I will miss talking to him and his sense of humor very much. My heart goes out to his family.

Michael was my cousin from his Mother's side of the family (Theede). We shared many wonderful holidays with all our many cousins and aunts and uncles at the home of our grandparents, Johanna and Carl Theede. We had so much fun with our cousins especially at Christmas. Michael, one day we will all be together with our German family singing and partying in Heaven. My deepest sympathy to the Granat family.

I am sorry for the loss of my cousin Michael. I am sorry to say that we have not seen each other for many, many years. My mother Ann Lichkai Granat was Michael's and Gail Ann's father's sister. I lost my mother in 1957, we did not keep in touch with the Granat family.....I can't believe where all of the years went. However, I do keep in touch with Aunt Betty and Aunt Margie. Gail Ann, I would love to talk to you.

I have many fond memories of my growing up years with Mike playing basketball, being best man at his wedding and periodically talking with him and emailing one another. Mike was a genuinely nice guy and know that he will be missed by family and friends. My sincerest condolences.
