Michael Haffner Obituary
Michael enjoyed a long and illustrious career in the NFL before transitioning into broadcasting, where he continued to share his love for the game. His charismatic personality made him a beloved figure both on and off the screen. He was a proud alumnus of UCLA, where he majored in history, a subject he adored throughout his life.
An ardent animal lover, Michael had a special bond with cats, who reciprocated his affection wholeheartedly. His storytelling about his days in the NFL and broadcasting career was legendary among friends and family, and he always encouraged others to share their memories with him.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, BJ Kunkel-Haffner of Las Vegas, NV; his sons, Brooks, Josh, and Casey of Denver, Colorado; his sister, Colleen Marshall of Laguna Beach, California; brother Patrick Haffner of Azusa, California

Just found out about your passing. Thanks Mike for being such a great friend growing up. And thanks for inviting my wife and I to a memorable football game in San Diego after I returned home from Vietnam.

Mike and I grew up together. Had our lockers together in gym. He remained football, I went to Track and Field. We said hello daily. I was the little devil but Mike always put up with me like a brother. Never once taking me wrong, why? Guess we just liked each other. Yes as big as Mike was in comparison to me, His heart was bigger. I saw Mike in 90, but He was always with me thereafter and will always be with me until we meet again. Larry Codling

Lingering over pie and coffee for 3 hours sharing stories about working in broadcasting.
Switching on the electric pump for the air mattress in the middle of the night when it kept deflating. ( our first marriage bed ), kitty claws have a way of deflating air mattresses.
