Michael George Hart

Well, I was one of the lucky one's who was able to know him growing up in River Park. We got to play Little League together and after that his mother would pick Charles Evans and me up and take us over to the pool at Sacramento City College for swimming classes and our life saving badges. He was a STUD in that pool and I think he also set records while there. One story was his father would take him over to the American River and make him swim behind his power boat to get him into shape. Michael, thanks for the memories , your old pal Michael C Messina.

My sympathies to the family and friends of "Fireman Mike." I met him back in our 'boxing days' when I went a few rounds with him in the gym (he was bigger so he took it easy).

Ran into him many times over the years at the fights, movies, restaurants, etc., always sharing lots of memories and laughs. Will especially miss his wry, deadpan sense of humor.
