Michael Roy Hazen, is now reunited with, his twin brother, Mitchell, who passed in infancy and parents in God’s Kingdom. He entered into eternal glory on May 28, 2021 at the age of 67. Mike was born in Sandusky, MI on December 2, 1953 to Donald and Mercy “Jean” (Stenke) Hazen. On July 21, 1973 he married Terry Allen in Mayville and their journey began. Over the years they did a lot of growing, together and lived in four states, before moving to Barryton, in September 2009.
Mike was always busy and he just liked to do things. Michael’s character was described as a being a person who did things that directly and visibly affect people’s lives. He fulfilled this in helping with construction work. If someone needed something built he was there to lend a hand. He learned how to paint from his mom and enjoyed painting on his own. He was talented at playing the harmonica and often accompanied the musicians at church- from the pew. His greatest joy in life came from helping others. God also blessed Mike with the gift to be able to take care of animals, no matter what it was.
The love Terry and Mike grew to have was unmeasurable. He was the best husband, loved unconditionally and truly cared for her. Mike leaves behind the family he treasured: his beloved wife of nearly 48 years, Terry; children, Jennifer Hazen of Canton and Melinda Haines of Strasburg, PA and her children, Malin Hazen, Vander Haines & Caleb Haines; great-granddaughter, Leia Hazen siblings, Ron and Roberta Hazen of Barryton, Debra and Delbert Erwin of Clio, Fredrick and Winnie Hazen of China, Dawn and Dale Barber of Burton, Vicki Nun of Lupton and Susie Goodman of Flint; aunts and uncles, Rebecca Schirmer, Ruth Chase, Katherine Mills and Richard and Bob Hazen; his treasured in-laws, nieces and nephews and church family & friends.
A memorial service will be held at Noon on Saturday, June 12th with visitation one hour prior (11 AM to Noon) at the Lighthouse Free Methodist Church in Barryton where he was a member. A live stream will be available on FaceBook at, The Lighthouse Church page. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mike’s name can be made to Howell Nature Center, howellnaturecenter.org or Kingdom Ministries, kingdomchristianministries.org
A private family interment will be held at Moore Township Cemetery in Snover, MI at a later date.

There isn’t a childhood memory I have that doesn’t include Mike and Terry. We grew up together. Loved our memories of walks to the store , snowmobiling, playing in the barns and just enjoying each other. Hard to believe so many years have passed. You will always have a special place in my heart. Love you!❤
