Dr. Michael HEIMBACH

Diane, I was so sorry to hear from you today about Michael's passing in May. He was a very special doctor and man and I'm glad Bob and I were able to meet you during our walks in North Glenmore Park. Strangely I was thinking about Mike earlier today. My heart goes out to you and your family. If you ever want to talk with someone who understands what you are going through, please call me. We are strong and will get through this grief, some day...I send you hugs.

We were saddened to learn about the passing of Mike and wish to forward as a family, our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to Diane and the entire family. Mike was the resident paediatrician and physician on our street, Waterloo Drive, in the 1960's. Even after long hours of service at the office, he was always there to tend the whims and woes of the mothers on the street as we all endured and survived the bumps, scrapes, accidents and falls of our childhood. His contagious smile and caring words were always enough to soothe and cure anything from the measles to even a broken leg experienced during a front lawn scrimmage. We will always remember him for his kindness, his persistent positive nature and as a tremendous neighbour. Our prayers are with you!

My condolences to the Heimbach family. He was a great and caring doctor who saved the life of my youngest child shortly after birth by giving him blood transfusions in the middle of the night. He also made an evening home visit for another of my children. We are so grateful not only to him but to his family for accepting the disruption to their lives while he was a practicing pediatrician. Thank you!

On behalf of the Hyndman Family I would like to offer our deepest condolences. Dr. Heimbach was my paediatrician when I was a child. I remember him fondly with his kind voice and gentle manner, and his perfect referral to his daughter who continues to be our cherished family doctor. Our thoughts are with all the Heimbach family.

Dr. Heimbach was a kind, sensitive man and shared the gifts of love and his God given talent with those tiny, beautiful little beings, the children, and the worried Moms and Dads. He touched many people in his lifetime and so he lives on. I'll always remember his kindness and gentle manner with the children in his care.

Dr. Heimbach was our pediatrician in the 70's and gave us his home phone number. I remember waking him in the middle of the night when our baby had a fever. He met me at the hospital and probably saved her life that night. He was a kind and gentle man and truly loved children. Thank you and may you rest in peace.

It was with great sadness when I heard of Dr Heimbach's passing. It brought back a flood of wonderful memories as I worked as his office nurse in 1965-67. He then was my Pediatrician for our 3 children, saving the life of our daughter who was born with Hyaline Membrane disease. He truly was a gifted doctor, and well loved by all. My sincere condolences go out to the family. God bless you.

I had the pleasure to work with Dr. Heimbach in the Nursery at the Holy Cross Hospital as a new R.N. graduate in 1962 and was thrilled to have him care for our two daughters and our very ill nephew . Dr. Heimbach was such a terrific Doctor and so very pleasant to work with. My sincere sympathies to his family. May he rest peacefully.

Dr. Heimbach was a joy to work with, so kind and caring to parents and infants from all walks of life. And he respected my input and opinion as a nurse in NICU. That's why he made the perfect Pediatrician for my sons and I trusted his referral for my daughter.
Your humour, laughter and empathy will be missed. Those lucky wee babies in heaven.

Our deepest sympathies on the loss of Dr Mike.My parents (Chris and Phil Golding)always spoke very warmly of him and the great times they had together with Mike,Diane and Roy and Mina.It was great to see Mike again along with Diane in California a couple of years ago.He will be remembered fondly by the Golding family.

He was my doctor before we moved in the 70s. RIP

Dr, Heimbach was a wonderful doctor to my 3 children. I loved his humor and gentleness. I was so sad to see that he had passed.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Heimbach's passing. He was our childrens doctor back in the 60's. We liked and admired him so much; he even made house calls after a long day at work and we so appreciated that.
