Michael Hedley HILL

Michael Hedley, a gentleman. Devoted partner of Serkan, and brother of Andrew. Former solicitor, of Fulwood Park, Liverpool. Died at home aged 68, following a cruel illness, borne with grace. Hedley was a man of abundant warmth, a wide circle of friends and an enviable breadth of interest, whose judgement was generous and generosity ample. Remembered by those friends and family, whether from his home town of Huddersfield; his school at Rydal; his association with Liverpool College; former colleagues of the Law; those with whom he served as Commissioner of Income Tax or as Chairman of his Housing Association; men of the British waterways or his brethren in Freemasonry, which was a principal element in his life, in particular Lodge 32. A private committal for family on Tuesday 6th August at 12.30pm, Springwood Crematorium, L25 7UN, followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at 1.30pm, Mossley Hill Parish Church, St Matthew & St James, Rose Lane, Liverpool L18 8DB.
