Mike was my cousin, spent quite a few summers at that house in Milford, good summers and Mike was a big part of that. Will certainly miss him.

I first met Mike at Sears Lake's south beach in the early 1990s. Seeing Mike headed to the beach on his bike (with his omnipresent towel around his neck) meant that summer had finally arrived.
The kids liked Mike and he sure liked being with them. I recall Mike telling me about his brother and it was plain to see that he was proud of his brother.
Mike seemed to always be happy and seeing him in the neighborhood are two things that I will miss. Sears Lake will definitely be a different place without him.

I would like to expand on my comments of July 29th. We lived next door to Mike for 35 years, that made him about 24 years of age. We probably got to really know Mike well about the last 20 years of his life. Mike was always there to help us with mowing the lawn, raking, etc., and it allowed him to be able to make a little money.
Mike's passing has hit us very hard because he was always there to befriend us. We enjoyed having him over for dinner once or twice a week and he always commented how it was like his mother made. After dinner we would go into the living room and listen to his stories about his cats, referring to all of them by name, and then elaborate on the problems he was having with his tractors. We always felt like he was a part of our family and was always invited to our family functions like birthdays, Christmas, etc.
Mike spoke often about his parents and missed his Mom very much. He often mentioned how happy he would be when he could be with them in heaven.
Mike is probably looking down on all of us today from heaven and finally able to be with his mom and dad.
Mike was fortunate to have such wonderful friends throughout the neighborhood

Mike was a very caring person. He was always smiling and pleasant with never a bad word to say about anyone or anything. He was always there if you needed a hand and was thought of as family. He will be remembered by all who knew him. Love, Lauren Nicholas

Mike had a humble attitude towards life, he was a giving soul, obviously not monetary, but with his time, kindness and words. Mike always spoke highly of his mom Diane, family, his church and his neighbors. Every Wednesday he would bring up everyone's garbage cans despite the weather, he did this for several years. He would always ride his bicycle or tractor around the neighborhood or stop by to just sit on my porch and talk. Lol, not to mention knocking on my door at 10 at night on Halloween for his treat. Mike always made me smile or laugh at his stories. Unfortunately, Mike's life was short but he touched all of our lives and heart's and will be truly missed. Love, Rachelle
