Of Medford, January 17. Cherished daughter of the late James and Adeline (Cardarelli) Selvitella. Beloved sister of Grace Ferreira and her husband William of Melrose, James F. Selvitella of Reading, Jeanne Abbott and her husband Arthur of Hamilton and the late Frank A. Selvitella and Joanne Desjardins. Sister-in-law of Bill Desjardins of Medford. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 8:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in Rita's name to the Sawtelle Hospice House of Reading, 320 Haverhill Street, Reading, MA 01867. I am so sorry to hear of Rita's passing. Rita worked for me for three years at the Infusion Nurses Society and I can honestly say I looked forward to her laugh and spirit everyday. I missed her the day she retired and she will always occupy a special place in my heart. I can still hear her laugh now. She was a tremendously positive soul who touched many lives; I wish her family and friends well in this time of sadness.
