Theron Earl "Meatball" Robinson was born on August 17, 1965 in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he was one of nine siblings. At an early age, he began his relationship with our Lord and Savior as he and his family were Holy Ghost Catholic Church members. Educated in the New Orleans Public School System, Theron attended Andrew J. Bell Junior High School and Marion Abramson Senior High School. It was at Marion Abramson High School where he became an outstanding athlete in football and basketball. His athleticism earned him a full scholarship to Wichita State University in Wichita Kansas. In addition to being an exceptional athlete, Theron had another hidden talent, cutting hair. Although it was something he did out of enjoyment and favors for friends, he decided to make it a career. In the early 90s, Theron chose to enroll in Moler Beauty College and Stevensons Academy of Hair and Design School, where he earned his cosmetology license. Theron worked in several barber shops in the Greater New Orleans area and never had a dissatisfied customer. On December 20, 2004, Theron married the love of his life, Sharlya Hawthorne. Two children, Tharen and Theron Jr., were born to this union. Theron was a man who loved his family and wanted everyone around him to be prosperous. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on cars, watching sports on television, or attending a game in person. During football season, he would always be cheering on his beloved New Orleans Saints to victory. Theron enjoyed traveling, his mother's cooking, and spending time with his family. Theron peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the age of 57, at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, located in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by his loving mother, siblings, and extended family. His grandmother, Elise Boss, and sister, Shawanna Taylor, preceded him in death. To cherish his memory, Theron leaves behind his devoted mother and caregiver Beatrice Robinson; his wife Sharlya Robinson; daughter Tharen Robinson; son Theron Robinson Jr; stepdaughter Asia Davidson; grandchildren Jaimere Simmons and Marlieh Davidson; sisters Sergio Robinson and Seneria Crawford; brothers Arthur Robinson Jr., Efrem Robinson Sr., Rinaldo Robinson Sr., Ronald Robinson, Kemo Charles; devoted nephew Roy Robinson; loving cousin Keith Singleton Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and beloved friends.
