My lovely Michael. I still think of you often and while it has not happened yet, Nigel and I are still trying to meet. Your photo popped up as a memory on Facebook just now and it brought back so many memories. That night when we met at Comptons; the glee in your face when the hotel fire alarms went off and you took us out to the front of the hotel to spy on the firemen (you always had a thing for strong arms). The night we saw Madam Butterfly together and wept at the beauty of the Minghella production. That Sunday afternoon when you shared your favourite spots of London (Exmouth Market and the not yet restored St Pancras Hotel). You are greatly missed; I truly hope that you now Rest in Peace.

Dear Michael. It is some years now since your passing. I still think of you and remember how shocked and sad I was when your Brother contacted me to let me know. We only spent a short time together but I will always remember it with fondness. Rest in peace dear Michael x

I've knots in my stomach reading this (years later). I'd lost touch with Michael a decade or so ago, and am devastated to hear of his death. When I moved to Cambridge he was the first friend I met. I had not met such a kind soul. Bless him for all time. Prayers from Vancouver, Canada.

Mick, your passion for classical and choral music, especially opera, was infectious. These interests continue to enrich my life. Thank you for the introduction or rather indoctrination during our time at Hull Uni.
Rest in peace.

If this is the Michael who studied at Hull, then you were a good friend. I wish I had the chance to have caught up with you after nearly 40 years. I remember taking your little brother, and mum and dad, out for the day in London.God bless

I have only just heard this news. Mike was an amazing teacher who encouraged me to do philosophy and try for Cambridge. He changed my life. Very best wishes to his family. Patrick Holland

You are in my thoughts every day but as time passes, the pain recedes and the happy memories come flooding back. You were blessed with a wonderful family and your wish that Nigel and I should meet will happen. Love you x Neil

I only heard about this recently. I miss you and tried many times to find you. Miss your laughter, your sudden bursts of song, your cheek, your irreverence, your honesty. Rest in peace old buddy.
