Michael Allen Ibbitson, born November 23, 1996, left this world on January 19, 2025, embarking on his next great adventure far too soon. Though his time with us was short, Michael's life was one of profound impact and boundless love. His energy, laughter, and kindness touched everyone he met, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael is survived by his father, Matthew Ibbitson; his mother, Jennifer Boski; his sisters, Victoria Ibbitson, Amanda Ibbitson, and brother-in-law Maverick Reed; his devoted grandparents, June Ibbitson, Judy and Rick Daniels; as well as his aunts and uncles, Robert and Sarah Ibbitson, David and Melissa Ibbitson, Pam and Nancy. He was a proud and loving uncle to his nephews, Maverick, Magnus, and Malakye, and shared a close, unshakeable bond with his extended family and friends. Michael's passing leaves a void that no words can fill, but the love and joy he brought to the world will continue to resonate in the memories of those who loved him.
A natural-born protector, Michael always put others first. From the moment you met Michael, you knew you'd found someone special. He had a unique gift for making everyone feel valued, always taking the time to listen, share, or lend a helping hand. His infectious humor, compassion, and warmth brought light into the lives of those around him, no matter the circumstances. Michael's love for his family and friends was steadfast, and he never hesitated to offer support or share in moments of joy. He was the kind of person who made others feel like they mattered, always making time for a laugh, a hug, or a word of encouragement. Michael was a friend to all.
Hardworking and driven, Michael was a force to be reckoned with. Whether he was working alongside his beloved father, tackling tough projects, or engaging in outdoor adventures, he gave everything his all. Michael was particularly passionate about fishing, hunting, and shed hunting, finding solace and peace in nature. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his entrepreneurial spirit-he always had a deal or project in the works. Michael was constantly striving to learn new skills, never allowing a day to pass without growth or adventure. His life was an example of living authentically and embracing each day with purpose. His legacy of hard work, resilience, and self-improvement will live on, inspiring generations to come. He was forever inspired by the world and all it had to offer, encouraging us all to live life fully and to take a moment to appreciate the simple joys that surround us.
As a proud and active member of the SX-Sportsman Association, Michael was passionate about both his community and the environment. His dedication to preserving the outdoors and helping others was just another way in which he made an indelible mark on the world. His presence in the association will be sorely missed, as he was a tireless advocate for conservation and community spirit.
Though we must say goodbye to Michael far too soon, we take comfort in the thought that his spirit lives on-watching over us, guiding us, and inspiring us to be the best versions of ourselves. Michael's passing leaves a hole in the hearts of his family and friends, but his love and laughter will continue to echo in our lives, reminding us to live fully, love deeply, and always seek out the beauty in life.
