Mike,
Even though our working releationship was brief I felt we had an immediate understanding of each other. When I talked to you, you always were a straight shooter and upfront with me. I cannot believe I spoke to you just hours before the end. I was fortunate that our paths crossed, albeit too quickly, in this journey known as life. While you are in a better place, I pray for your loved ones.

Dear Michael.I will long remember the calm competence you were able to bring as AD to your work in Harlem, especially to St Charles Borromeo, Resurrection and All Saints. My confidence in your service to us was always high. Dare I say that I actually looked forward to your visits at my
Rectory on 141st Street. Some might have thought that impossible for an NYArch Pastor, but they could not have known you.

I will miss our calls and meetings my dear friend. We would laugh and try to solve the world's poblems...and then convince oursleves that we had. I and so many of your old St Monica and St Stephen of Hungary families are heartbroken. My deepest condolences and love to your beautiful family-Emily, Avery and TJ-they were the apple of your eye-and to your parents, sister and all your family and many, many friends. You are alrady more than missed. RIP MW.

Knew Mike from his days at Red Star. It was the best of times. So sad he passed.

My heart breaks for Mike’s family. He was my partner at work at the Archdiocese when hired in 2010 and we worked so well together. I remember when he met his lovely wife, and was so happy for them when they had their children. His smiling face and dry humor will be missed. May his memory always be a blessing.
