Our first memory of Michael was him striking up a conversion with us in a Houston French Restaurant on Bastille Day in 2017. We were all there to listen to Debbie Boily sing, so we immediately had something wonderful in common - exceptional taste in music! Little did we know that this chance encounter would be the spark for a beautiful friendship. Michael and Marianna often invited us to their lovely home for scrumptious meals and conversations, and Michael ALWAYS made us feel incredibly welcome and loved. During our frequent visits, we talked about religion, politics, family, current events, music and theatre, our beloved pets, and everything else under the sun. Nothing was off limits and Michael seemed to love everyone regardless of their views and beliefs - a rare and beautiful trait that will be so missed. We moved from Houston to WA state in 2021 so Michael's loss is still sinking in - we simply cannot imagine an H-town without Michael Jayson in it. . .
Rest in Peace our dear friend. We miss you terribly. Please know that your beloved Marianna is being loved on by so many until you see her again. Love, Katherine Engleman and Eric Schwartz

I met Michael about 33 years ago and worked closely with him on many business and tax matters. He was a joy to work with. Always professional, courteous, knowledgeable and, most of all, immensely helpful to his clients. He was a rare individual who always found the best in people and was creative in solving their problems. I have lost a dear friend and colleague and will miss his stories, jokes and unequalled business insight. May his memory be for a blessing for his family and all of those loved and admired him.
