Michael Gavin Johnstone Jr.

Aug. 16, 1973 - Dec. 9, 2015 Michael Gavin Johnstone, Jr., 42, son of Michael and Cathy Johnstone, passed away on December 9, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Sherri Milazzo Johnstone and his four children, Carter (19), Mason Milazzo (18), Percey (18), and Cooper (7). He was the oldest of four children survived by Daniel (Rebecca), Lance, Cindy Calvert (Scott), and an almost uncountable number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends, all who love and miss him very much. Michael was an outstanding father and friend, an incredibly hard worker, and a man who was generous with his love, time, and attention. A long time resident of Homewood, he graduated from Homewood High School in 1991. He worked as a model employee for AT&T for the past seventeen years. Michael loved attending concerts, traveling, the outdoors, running, reading, the Alabama Crimson Tide, television and film, working with his hands, his multitude of friends, but mostly his family, a family he demonstrated sacrificial love to every day of his life. The celebration of his life will be held at Vulcan Park on Monday, December 14th at 3 o'clock. Everyone who knew and loved Michael is welcome to attend.
