We are deeply sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. He was a wonderful neighbor to Pat. All the times he helped her with her grass, leaves, snow and garbage cans was such a blessing to her. He had a big heart and always had a kind word to her. Sending healing prayers and comfort during this difficult time.

Junker Family,
I was incredibly saddened to hear of Mike's passing. From growing up 6 houses apart to going to St. Joseph's school, playing all sorts of sports together (including winning the BYAA World Series), going to Jim's Sports collectibles on Liberty Ave., swimming in the Junker's backyard or the Bloomfield Rec., sleeping over at each other's house, and just hanging out. So many childhood memories start off with: "Mike 'Red' Junker and I..."
Even though we lost contact over the years, I always considered him a friend.
I am reminded of the last line in the movie Stand By Me: "I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was 12. Jesus, does anyone?"

My condolences to the whole Junker family first and foremost. It’s so sad that a loss of a great family man and loving father is taken from us a young age. We are reminded of how precious life is. I have memories of Mike as a young guy just trying to fit in with his older brothers, Billy and Bobby who I knew pretty well from our Bloomfield days. God speed Mike, you obviously made a more than solid mark during you’re time here on Earth. You’ll be missed I’m sure.
