MICHAEL E. "MICKEY JUP", on May 23, 2008, age 65. Beloved husband of Theresa C. (nee Mackey). Loving father of Mark, Stephen (Judi), Nicole and the late Michael. Devoted grandfather of Andrew, Ryan, Connor and Mackenzie. Dear brother of Jack (the late Mary), Daniel (Diane), and Peggy Mackey (Harry). Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Mickey was the owner of the Oregon Bar for 25 years. Relatives, friends, employees of Southwark Post Office and members of the North Wildwood Elks Lodge 1896 are invited to his Viewing Tues. 7-9 P.M. and Wed. 8:30 A.M. at MURPHY-RUFFENACH FUNERAL HOME, 3rd and Wolf Sts. Funeral Mass Wed. 10 A.M. St. Monica's Church. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. The family requests donations in Mickey's memory to Children's Hospital of Phila. 34th and Civic Center Blvd., Phila., PA 19104.

Well its been 1 year since my Dad has passed, and it just seems harder. Memorial weekend will never be the same. I just wanted to say my thanks to whoever reads this guest book before it expires and to remember my Dad based on your memories and not just the tragedy of his death.

I will always remember Mickey driving us to Goretti in the morning in the olds...(the most comfortable car ever) with his jeff cap on always smiling. My husband remembers him as the guy that gave him an Irish flag to dance with at Nicole's graduation party!!
Hold on to your memories of him they will get you through this hard time. You will all be in our prayers.

I worked with Mickey at H&R this past tax season, he was always up-beat and friendly, helpful in evey way. So sorry to hear this bad news. I always jumped when he would call his wife, our names are the same and I always thought he was talking to me. God Bless you and help you with this sad time. Terry

Dear Theresa and Family,
I really can't beleive that my friend Mickey has passed on. To me, Mick was a great friend, sort of like an uncle figure, at least he reminded me of my dunphy uncles; someone I looked up to. Always out and about at the shore, coming to see me and dance wherever I was working. Even sing a little, just full of life. Now he is busy in heaven getting another Oregon bar so we can all sing and dance with god. Mick, God bless you. Just wanted you to know how sorry we were to learn of Mickey's passing. You and yours are in our thoughts and prayers. He was our mailman in Queen Village for many years. He was well liked by everyone who knew him in our neighborhood. Always got our mail on time. Always made us laugh. Missed him when he had a day off. Sad when he told us he was going to retire.

Dear Jupin Family,
We are thinking of you and praying for you during this very difficult time. May your memories of Mickey bring you comfort. My husband has shared some with me over the last couple days from bar stories to sleepovers at the Jupins. A favorite of mine is my wedding video when he wore a matchbook in his collar and called himself Father Mick. This is how we will remember him, full of life and always having fun.
