July 2, 1957 - March 3, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mike, beloved husband of Gena and father to Ashlee, Chelsee and Michael, at the age of 54 years. Mike's early life took him to many places in the world: from his birthplace of Accra, Ghana, to England, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and finally to Canada. Mike loved his family and was especially proud of his children. His first priority in life was his family, and their well being. He excelled at providing for his family. His generosity touched many; he was always willing to go the extra mile. Mike began his retail-driven career in car sales for Toyota at the age of seventeen and then managed various retail stores before becoming Director of Planning and Development for Value Village Inc. A decade later, Mike began a rewarding career with Loblaw Companies Ltd. where he became a successful Senior Project Manager. Mike was dedicated to Loblaws bringing unmatched professionalism as well as his unique sense of humour to the workplace. Mike is survived by his mother Margaret, sisters, Sandra (Thompson) and Linda (Bowes), and brother Andrew. Just when his days seemed brightest, just when his hopes seemed best, God called him from amongst us to his eternal rest. Sadly missed but God knows best. He will live in our hearts forever. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com .
