Michael Amos Krenek

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael Amos Krenek (Mikey) 56, of Tempe, AZ, on August 14, 2025.

He is survived by his devoted daughter, Nicole (Krenek) Howarth, and son-in-law, Montana Howarth, along with his grandchildren Elijah, Jameson, and Olivia. Michael is also survived by his sisters, Amber Rose, Jodi (Joe) Baker, and Lynn (Ronnie) Heller, as well as his former wife, Julia Murawski-Royal. He will be greatly missed by his Aunt, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who carry fond memories of him.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Sharon Ambler Peterson and Melvin Krenek, his uncles, Mark Ambler and Eugene Krenek, his maternal grandparents, Hugh and Dorthea Ambler, and his paternal grandparents Otto and Sophie Krenek.

Michael had a passion for the outdoors, including hiking in the Arizona Mountains with his daughter or taking his Jeep out to the desert. He had a passion for music, especially sharing his love for bands such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Rush with his family. He will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and his love of his family and friends.

In his passing, there is a sense of peace. It is an honor to share that, as an organ donor, he was able to donate multiple organs to help others.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with the unforeseen expenses may be sent directly to his daughter Nicole or by link below. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
