I was so sorry to read of Mike's passing. I have not seen him for many years, but our families were friends while we all lived in Red Wing in the early to mid sixties. Cindy and I spent a lot of time together. I have many fond memories of time spent with the Krogstads. Please accept my sincere sympathy for the untimely loss of Mike.

I am very sorry for your loss, and all of our loss. I saddens me greatly to know that I, or any of us for that matter, will never have the pleasure of chatting with Mike. What a shock to walk into Hidden Haven tonight and find out Mike had passed away. I wish we had heard about it in time to attend the celebration of his life. Mike always had a smile and a wave for us whenever we came in. And always available to drive someone home who "needed a little help". His smile and presence will truly be missed.

Nener and boys,

Like I said this morning Nene, I tried to write in this last night and I just struggled to do it. There is just so much to say about Krog, it is hard to know where to begin. We are feeling the loss and the sadness. The goodbye was too soon. Mike was a kind sole with a gental heart and a comforting smile. He has left us all with so many wonderful memeories. Life will not be the same without him, but we will continue on as Mike would want us too. We will take you with us as we all journey forward. We are lucky to have friendships like we do and you and Mike were the main reason that we are all so close today.
Jason & Jake ~ You have made your dad proud. He loved you more than life itself. He always backed you both through anything....he was on your side and he loves you both so much.

Nener when you were sick I never wrote cause I figured I would wait til you got home to just come over and visit...so I am writing this with a VERY heavy heart..I dont know where to begin other than I never heard a unkind word ever come out of Mike he was always on a even keel..as all of us the thing we all will miss is not only his smile but the fact we never got to say good bye ! so today I will say good bye and when ever I drive by the house which I do at least 9 times a day I will remember Him as I knew him in my own little way...You all know we are right next door to get you in after you lock yourself out hahah with that Peace and Love always...Dan ,Debi, Katelyn and Brendan Long

Dearest Nener, It's so hard to put into words the sorrow that I am feeling. I know it has been a long time, but you and Krog will always be in some of my fondest memories when we were younger. They say the Good Lord doesn't give us more than we can handle, but I think he has pushed the limit with you and your family.
