Mike was and still is my oldest patient of record and had to be one of the nicest people I ever met. It was always a pleasure seeing him and introducing him to others as I believe he was an inspiration of how well someone could live their life. Wish he was still around to show so many what it means to be honest and trustworthy. God bless you Mike and your family

Dear Mary and family:
When we returned home we were sorry to learn of your father's passing. I'm glad he had a long and happy life like my Aunt Kit and am glad that he passed on his love of Christmas to you.

Uncle Mike was always upbeat, positive, active and happy. I believe those are the attributes of a long and wonderful life!

Mary and Suzanne, this is a bitter sweet time for you all. Dad lead a long and productive life. Your Mother and Father were a couple for the ages!
We learned so much from them both...stories, facts, local history, a plethora of anecdotes Tony and I never tired of.
Mike was so special to me, sharing his secrets and skills about furniture refinishing. His was so proud of his projects but not in a boastful way. He will be sorely missed.
May the Angels lead him into Paradise! Rest in peace old friend!

Mary and family ~ Although I did not know your family well, I was sorry to read of your father's passing. Your name struck a familiar chord with me as "one of the families over on Daisy Avenue". I lived on Woodlea Rd., with my family, Esther and Herb Murphy. Each school day, all the kids from Woodlea and Daisy would pass by your home on the way to Shankweiler's Hotel which was the bus stop. It was a great place to grow up and I'm sure we both have many memories. Several years ago while flea marketing, I purchased some Prudential items that had belonged to your father. I was happy to have made a connection to a family from my hometown. Living a long life as your father did, must have created many wonderful memories that you and your family and friends have revisited often over the years. I believe we were both blessed with loving parents who are and will always be missed. How lucky indeed for us! My sympathy to you all and may peace be with you.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends Michael. It's not easy to lose a Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather.
Ecclesiastes reads this.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to up root,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing
a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Michael, is now, walking and talking with God.

Both Michael and Althea were wonderful people, so full of interesting stories that they were both happy to share with a younger generation interested in local history and in antiques. I enjoyed their company tremendously and will always think fond thoughts of them. My condolences on your loss.

Uncle Mike was one of my favorite uncles. He lived a good life and was dedicated to his wife, children, extended family, church, business associates and customers. No matter what he had to deal with, in life, he did it with grace, responsibility and great care for others. He will be missed, but God has a place for him in heaven.
