Mike, I went to the ocean, as we had agreed. I thought that it would be you, not me, doing this.
God speed!

I knew Mike when he was in California. He remained my friend even when he moved away, although we have been communicating only via Christmas cards, he was in my thoughts much more frequently. I was planning to call him this evening in response to his message in this year's card when I heard the news of his death. I was shocked that such a young life had been cut so short. I do not even know how or why he died. I regret not calling sooner. I will miss him. My condolences to his family and other friends.

Mike I'll miss you so much. Thanks for teaching me welding and I know that Scott and I will miss playing ping pong in the studio with you. I just wish I had come home to Texas to see you before you passed.

Mike made living in that part of Texas bearable for me. It was always the highlight of my week when we hung out! You will be missed Mike!

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. You will be dearly missed. My deepest sympathy for his family.Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.

Mike was an absolute pleasure to know. He became friends with nearly everyone who crossed his path, leaving a real impression with his engaging personality and with his art. He will be dearly missed. My deepest sympathy for his family and close friends.
