Mike Liddy was born June 15, 1940, to Thomas L. and Iris (Pharris) Liddy in Lincoln, NE and died on April 10, 2023. Surviving Mike are: his loving wife, Deana Felice (Charyn); sons: James Walter (Julie Swanson) Liddy, John Wesley Liddy, Richard Alan (Hillary Brunkow) Liddy, and Joshua Philip (Terri Porter) Finkler; daughters: Ruth Iris Liddy, Jean Louise Liddy, Kathleen Sarah Finkler and daughter-in-law Christy Robertson Liddy. Also surviving Mike are: grandchildren: Kelsey Liddy, Samuel Coniglio, Tristan Liddy, Conner DuBray, William and Abigail Liddy, Brantley and Ryker Liddy, and Finnegan Liddy; sisters: Judy Farrington (WA), Tanya Liddy (OR), Colleen Groth (CO); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents; and son, Thomas Joseph Liddy.
Mike was the last living founder of First Data Resources and CEO of Service Data, Omaha.
The family would like to thank Miles Memory Care and Charter Hospice for the extraordinary care given to Mike.
Family and friends are invited to attend a SHIVA SERVICE at Mike and Deana's home on Sunday, April 16, at 1pm. There will be No Interment. Mike's remains will be Cremated and distributed at the outdoor places he loved. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his memory to the Nature Conservancy of Nebraska (www.nature.org/nebraska) or the Alzheimer's Association of Nebraska (www.alz.org).

I was very sorry to read of Mike's passing. I worked with him in the late 1980s and mid 1990s with Zip+4, MIS and Teleservice. I admired him for his genuineness. He had a brilliant understanding of the systems hardware and software for many product lines. I also loved seeing his corporate attire...cowboy hats, bolos, boots and western cut suits. He contributed so much to the success the Credit Card processing the start of FDR with the Midwest Bank Card Association in the beginning of FDR.

Deana, so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Mike and I were in the same graduating class. He and my husband worked together on a ranch at Emmet, NE at one time and were very good friends. My sincere sympathy to the family.

My wife and I always loved chatting with Mike when he happened to be out in his yard as we walked by. He always put a smile on our faces. He was the sweetest man. A remarkable man. We will miss him.
