Michael Little Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 5, 2025.
Michael Shane Little, 52, passed away on July 12, 2025, in Dickinson, Texas. Born on April 11, 1973, in Taylor County (Abilene), Texas, Shane lived a life defined by hard work, unwavering honesty, and deep devotion to those he loved.

Shane was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. Though he bore the rugged look of a grizzly bear, his heart was full of gentleness and compassion. He was tough when needed, fair, and kind always. His strength was matched only by his humility, and his quiet generosity left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

A true jack of all trades, Shane spent his life mastering a wide array of skills. Before discovering his greatest passion-working on motorcycles-he dedicated years to learning and perfecting everything from remodeling homes, trailers, and RVs to plumbing, electrical work, and bricklaying. There wasn't much Shane couldn't do with his hands. Whether fixing something broken or standing beside someone in a fight, Shane was the one you could count on.

But it was motorcycles that truly captured his heart. He spent countless hours building, restoring, and riding them-each project a labor of love that brought him immense joy and fulfillment. His garage was more than just a workspace; it was a sanctuary where creativity met craftsmanship.

Shane's greatest pride and joy were his children. He poured himself into fatherhood with unwavering dedication, offering guidance, discipline, laughter, and unconditional love. He never missed an opportunity to share how proud he was of his son Michael Jr., speaking often of the man he was becoming, with pride shining in every word. He also held deep affection for his daughter Ravyn, believing wholeheartedly in her strength and potential. His love for her was steadfast and unconditional.

To his wife, Ammerette Johnston, Shane was not only the love of her life but also her partner in every sense. He embraced her daughter as his own from the very beginning-without hesitation or condition-and created a family bound by love rather than blood alone. His ability to make people feel at home extended beyond their household; whether you were an old friend or someone he had just met, Shane welcomed you.

Shane is survived by his beloved wife, Ammerette Johnston; daughter Ravyn Moorman; son Michael Little Jr.; sister April Washburn; and brother Robert Little. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Clyde Little, and mother, Ada Inell Long.

Shane's legacy lives on in the lives he touched-with every engine that roars back to life under skilled hands, every home repaired with care, every child guided with love. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a reminder of what it means to live with integrity, generosity, and heart.
