We just found out about the passing of our flounder fishing buddy! The pier will be lonely without you! We will miss you buddy! RIP! Aprill & Wade Champion

I just heard this news and wanted to say how much I will miss him. My husband and I have not visited North Carolina in a few years, but when I did, Mr. Mike taught me everything I know about flounder fishing. Very few people would have taken the time and had the patience to teach an old South Carolina girl how to catch flounder. He was always willing to help me and have a few laughs at my screw ups. I am eternally grateful for his assistance and his kindness.

Gonna miss you "Pop". Thank you for all the wisdom. Love you always

I am so sorry to hear about Mike's passing.. He will be flounder fishing from the other side now! I hope he's at peace in our loving eternal home
