To all of you lucky enough to have had Mike in your family, I am so sorry for your pain and loss. I heard many a tale of Josh's "Big Pal" and always appreciated how he kindly included my son, Adam, in some of their adventures. I am praying for peace for you all during this difficult time - May your love and laughter filled memories hold you up.

Marlene and Carol: although we are thousands of kms away, we have heard of this senseless loss to your husband and brother. There are so very many good memories and outright laughter when one thinks of Mikey. We will always fondly remember his laughter, kindness and thoughtfulness. We send our sincerest condolences and sympathies. Thinking of you and all your families, Tony and Tammy Babcock

Dear Marlene and family,
I grew up in Victoria, and Nick and Eileen lived behind my parents, George and Myrtly Conrad's house on Conard Street. I remember the family very well. With so many children, some in diapers, Nick bought Eileen an electric washer and dryer. Eileen was the envy of the neighbourhood women who were using ringer washers.
I reconnected with Marlene (and Mike) when Marlene and I took a Reemployment 45 Course in 1998.
Our friend, Hans Machalinski, rented a cottage at you home in Nanoose. What a beautiful spot.
We bumped into each other at times over the past years and there was always a hug and a laugh.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Gods blessings.

I have many fond memories of Uncle Mike that always include laughter and awesome hugs. I will always remember how much he loved to sing, dance, laugh, eat and to wear red t shirts. I always enjoyed visiting with him. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Deepest condolences to Marlene, Grandma Eileen and the rest of the family.

You were a great person. Always gave me the best advice.
Your smile lightened up the room. You
had so much
knowledge from
fixing a car, or
building something,
singing, dancing. Your "Foxy Lady". <3

I didn't know Mike but I worked at Western for over 6 years. There was a real sense of community there and when I learned of the tragedy at the Nanaimo Sawmill, I felt I had lost members of my own family. My heartfelt wishes go out to the entire Lunn family during this difficult time.

Mike filled the room he entered with joy. He was always saying proud and loving comments about all of you. I looked up to how much time he made in his day for his Mom Eileen. I truly believe he will always be present in your lives. The Lord has prepared a place for him at His banquet, and knowing Mikey, there's chocolate cake and hugs.
