Julie, Michael and Connor,

I can't believe it has been a year since that wonderful husband and father of yours has passed. I often think of him and what a wonderful human being he was. Dave and I will always cherish the great times we had when our families were together.

We hope you have gotten stronger over the last year. Mike has been watching over you to ensure that I am sure.

I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you guys! Love, Mo

To The Mannion Family - Our deepest sympathy in the loss of Mike to your lives. Mike & I met in Allentown, PA when I was an RPS driver, and into the FedEx Ground days. I knew from the beginning he was going to be great for FedEx Ground because of his personality, his leadership, and his integrity. He also became the drivers best resource for all things FedEx. Mike always made time for the guys -- no matter what! Last year Mike and I spoke to each other after twenty years. We continued keeping in touch; just recently speaking. It was as if those years were never between us. We picked up and kept rollin! Mike is the true meaning of a leader, a friend, and a man. I will miss him with all my heart, and I will Never forget him. Thank you Mike for all you have done for me and for my family. Keep that swing! Rest in Peace Mike.
With our sincere Love,

To the Mannion Family-I was so sad to hear that Mike passed away. I was the young lady who left the lipstick stain on his cheek when he surprised me with a pen at the hub kickoff. We also sang "Lipstick on Your Collar" when he got promoted from Harrisburg hub to Pittsburgh. Every time he would see me and would say, "Jackie, I'm styling and profiling". When my mother passed, he came to the funeral home to view her body. Mike was a people person and everyone loved Mike. Although I'm with the federal government now, it was Mike Mannion who helped me to become the successful person that I am today! Mike, rest in peace. I know you have them laughing in heaven!

To the Mannion Family--I am so sorry for your loss. My memories of Mike during my FedEx Ground (HRBG Hub)days are so vivid; it seems like yesterday when we worked together and when he talked about climbing the ladder of success by helping others to climb the wrungs for the team to be successful. He was a true coach! No doubt, Mike had an impact on so many, both on a professional and personal level. He will be missed! Best wishes to family and friends as we move forward from the loss of Mike on Earth and cherish our precious times with him.

Julie -- I just want to send you all my love along with thoughts and prayers. Mike was an amazing guy. Every time we were together, way back when, we did nothing but laugh. He was such a bright light. My heart is broken for you and your sons. Rest in peace, my friend....

As an old RPS employee I always laughed a lot with Mike. When I ran the Syracuse hub I once drove to Binghamton where Mike was the manager. We went to dinner, drank a few beers and laughed a lot. He was a very positive person and a good man. I always knew he would reach some very lofty goals because of who he was. We used to call him "Mikey" when he was in Syracuse and Binghamton. If you worked with him consider yourself fortunate, if you were a friend of his consider it an honor and if you are his family you have my heart felt and deepest sympathy for your loss. I wold like to send a mass card if someone woldl be kind enough to furnish me with an address.

Julie, Michael, Connor, Please accept my condolences. Mike taught me early in my career about leadership. I worked for him in Harrisburg. I even watched Michael and Connor one night. I will always remember your family. Here is a poem that gave me comfort when I lost my father last year.
"God saw you getting tiredand a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best."

My family and i will for ever remember you. Rest in Peace my friend.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
