Mike and I were close friends during our elementary school years. He enjoyed sports and was an interesting and happy person. Some 55 years later he would ocassionally visit me at my Blacksburg home and we would talk very candidly. His recall of details of his worlwide travels through the years was remarkable. Though our paths since high school went in different directions, we always felt our friendship. A unique person, Mike was true to himself. Rest in peace Mike!
