To our Great Friend, Cher & Family:
We have truly lost a great friend, brother, and loved one. We loved Mike so much and Mike was truly David's best friend and will be forever. We will miss his laughter, his great golf game days, his wedding tips and gifts to our children, wonderful trips we have shared with you guys. We hope to continue to share these trips and friendships with you forever. We will miss his great conversations, laughter, and his love for others.
We know that Mike is watching over you and blessing your family and I know he is watching over all of his friends and loved ones.
May the Lord continue to bless you and your family and that you may know of our love and support for you. We're always here for you.
Love you,
David & Susan & family

Dear Cher,
Brian and I have spoken many times about our fun memories of you and Mike over the last week since finding out about Mike's passing. What a wonderful couple you have always been, how much fun you always seemed to be having together! No matter what restaurant we would run into you at or even out walking and checking out the new tennis club Mike always had a joke to crack us up and a big smile on his face!! Having you as neighbors and friends for over 16 years has been a real pleasure!! We remember when Mike had that big telescope and we would always joke that he was looking down at our house when you were on Huntington and we were on 400 South......We are glad that your new home is so close to us yet again. Driving past and seeing your beautiful lamps turned on in the evening makes me reflect on your smiles everytime. The lines and lines of people at the viewing were a testiment to the number of people that you and Mike have touched. We are proud to be among them.
Ben told us that you were a rock - however, if you should need anything we are here for you at any time........... much love,
Stef and Brian

Dear Cher & Family,
There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of Mike when I am in the showroom selling Quoizel lights. His great humor and sincere love for helping others succeed was evident. I have a signed copy of his book he wrote "Beating the Bully" and I will cherish it forever. May happy memories carry you through this sorrowful time. God Bless You and your family

Dear Cher & Family,
We have been so saddened the last few days since we heard this news. We have always felt that you were our dear friends. Mike is the most upbeat person I know. He was forever teaching us new things to help us in our business--but most of all, I remember a time that he stood up for us when he knew of an injustice that we weren't aware of. He stood for all that is good in this life---his family was the most important part of his life--even though he was a fabulous salesman. He was always willing to give us tips to help us to be better. Who better to have as a guardian angel!!! We love you all and you are in our prayers. Luckily we know we will see him again--what a wonderful gift this is! All of us at TLC Lighting send our deepest sympathy.

Dear Cher and Family,
Words cannot express how saddened and shocked I was to learn of Mike's passing. My deepest condolences to all of you for your loss.
I am so grateful that I was able to spend time at Quoizel with Mike on Saturday and experience all that I loved most about him. His enthusiasm, smile and child-like approach were to me the epitome of why he was so great to be around.
We ALWAYS made a special visit to see Mike in Dallas and ALWAYS looked forward to his visits to our store. Mike was someone who you could spend hours with, soaking in all his knowledge and descriptive sales technique that truly showed his passion for lighting. He taught us all more than any manufacturer's rep could have.
We cherished the time that we had with Mike and although he will be greatly missed, we know that he will leave positive lasting memories for generations to come.
Bless you all.

Dear Cher & Family,
We are still in total shock to think that Mike is gone. His loss leaves a great void in our lives. Words cannot express the love that we have for you and your family. Mike had a unique gift of making everyone feel like his best friend. We have so many fond memories of him! Marian and I have truly enjoyed getting together as friends with you and Mike through the many years! I have so many humorous memories of "hanging out", playing with the band, California trips, and running out of gas in his new Subaru that got 50 mpg! Just to mention a few.
Cher, we will be here for you always; to talk with, cry with, joke with, dog sit Chip and Salsa, or whatever your needs may be. With love and sympathy, Mike & Marian

I can't help but reflect on the many opportunities Meg and I have had to spend memorable moments with Mike, Cher, Ben, Natalie and the kids. Most, revolved around Jazz games, but always became very personal as Mike would show his true, genuine intrest in my family, business, and hobbies. There was never a dull moment among friends as Mike's eyes would light up with excitement as he recounted his latest round at the golf course, and the one miraculous shot he pulled off; the one that erased all the double and triple boggies that preceded the one great shot. Mike truley, to me, knew how to enjoy life through his family, work, hobbies, and his books. I'll never forget when he walked me through his new home and showed Meg and I all the illustrations from his books,....his eyes were full of joy. You guys are great! We are thinking of you all the time and our prayers are with you. Remember the good times, embrace the memories, and look forward to the eternities where we will all met and embrace again.
Love.

The fast lane of life was the preferred path for this one of a kind individual. From the first Z car and the Brick cell phone to the latest new gadget, to his deep testimony of the Savior, he inspired me. It's been 10 or 15 years since last we crossed paths, but his vibrance is with me still. Sadness for those left behind, but his new adventure is now his focus. Cher, my thoughts will be with you and your family, as you move forward with faith.

Dear McLelland Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Mike's enthusiasm for life was so contagious and energizing. His influence is widespread. One lasting memory I will always have of him is the night he spoke to our mutual girls about achieving their dreams and setting goals. He went through the process of the inspiration for his Christmas book and the steps he took to achieve his goal. It was one of the best motivational and inspirational talks on achieving your dreams that I've ever heard. We've all been blessed to know Mike. May all the wonderful memories you have comfort you at this time.

Dear Cher & family,
I don't know if you will remember us, Ron & Jean Peterson, from clear back in the 1970's when we lived across the street from each other on 3760 West in West Valley. We were all so young back then, & just starting out with our brand new homes & young children. Although many years have passed since we saw you folks last, we well remember Mike's cheerful & optimistic attitude & enthusiastic personality. What a shock it was to read of his sudden passing in the obituaries. Our thoughts & prayers are with you at this difficult time. Sincerely, Jean & Ron Peterson

Spending time at the McLelland's home is one of the best memories from my high school years. I loved the way Mike and Cheryl made you feel like you were important to them. Bless Mike's heart, he even taught me how to water ski. What I remember most about him is that he always had a smile on his face. The McLelland Family,
I was so sad to hear that Mike had passed away. My heart is aching for your family. What a great man.
On Saturday, I was driving by your old house at the mouth of the canyon and thinking about your family. Specifically I was recalling a sleep-over. Mike came home with a piece of his shirt missing. It was the night he had completed something big for his pilot license. So I remember the hole in his shirt, eating popcorn and licorice and the biggest grin on his face. He always had a smile. I have so many great memories of your family from my childhood.
Its obvious Mike will be greatly missed. Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. May you feel the love of all those that have been touched by Mike and your family.
Love,

We want to let your family know how deeply sorry we are for the loss of your wonderful husband and father. We were Jen's neighbors for almost 11 years and had the pleasure of getting to see Mike frequently at dance recitals, church programs, and just when you would drop by to say hi. I remember when we got our little Shih Tzu puppies and one day you came to drop off Chip and Salsa and our dogs came running over to see you both. Mike was so cute about them. We remember going to Disneyland with our dance studio and getting together with you guys and riding several rides together. Our son Jacob remembers getting ready to get on the Indiana Jones ride and was a little nervous and Mike was telling him how the ride went upside down, and how scary it was. He was such a tease and it made Jacob laugh when the ride was over! Our last discussion with Mike was at Jen's wedding. He shared with my husband Mike and me how truly happy he was for Jen, how much he loved Mike. He also talked about how grateful he was for following his prompting to give Jen, Jaycee, and CJ Max and Maddie. He loved all of you so much. We will miss seeing his smiling face and his kind words that he so freely shared. We love you and your family very much. Our deepest condolences.

How saddened I was to hear of the passing of my old scoutmaster. I can't believe it's been 31 years since I was a young 12 year old boy. Mike gave me so many memories (snowmobiling, the cabin on the East Fork of the Bear, swimming in his pool, the unforgettable Klondike Derby, Flaming Gorge, or just hanging out at his house playing his pinball games). Not only was Mike my scoutmaster but he was also a great friend. His example helped me when I had the opportunity to be a scoutmaster. Mike may not remember me from so many years ago, but I will always remember him and have a special place in my heart for him.

What a loss we all feel with the passing of Mike, a gifted salesman and much more. Mike was a good friend, teacher and always positive in all his endeavors. I am still in shock. How can such a vital, full-of-life, and fun-loving man be gone? My heart aches with the loss but I know we will see him again. I will always cherish my memories as his "favorite niece". Mike was always there for me whether I wanted to "hang" at his house with my friends or needed him to dance with the Crimson Line at a University basketball game. He was more than just my uncle, he was my friend. He will be greatly missed.

Cher and Family,
A friend sent this to me today and it seems to sum up Mike to us. You know how much we have cherished your friendship, advice, love and snacks for the past 14 years. We will miss Mike's smile, humor, love of beachside massages, Twizzlers, stories, love of music and his iPod, and the light he brings to wherever he is. This almost sounds like it came straight from Mike as just a bit of advice, so we share it with you today. You are in our hearts and we will miss our friend. 'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand (in Mike's case, a large coke!!) - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

Wow! Mike is gone on! There is truly less joy and enthusiasim in this world, but what a shake up of things he brings to heaven. Mike was excited about every task, whether he liked it or not-he could even make a botched Harley ride to Hana (stranded for hours in a Rain Forest on a desolate narrow road) fun and adventurous! I've been with Mike through Hell (the 110 degree ride from Zions and the freezing rain of the Sawtooth Mountains) on a Harley, and he always retells it with with a laugh. That is what Mike does best...find "Joy in the Moment". I will honor him by carrying on with that. Thank you Mike for the lessons and the memories!

No other manufacturers representative left a message like Mike did. He always had a purpose and truely wanted to help other people succeed. Mike was a special friend that will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. He had an infectious smile and a positive attitude. Never once did he say anything negative. His zest for life was an inspiration for everyone. It is hard to say good by to such a good man and an honor to call him a friend. My condolences to his family and wife Cheryl.

Mike always had a smile on his face and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He will be missed in the lighting world for always having good ideas on what to do. Thanks MIke for your words that you shared with me about my new showroom and Quoizel has lost one of the great ones.

Mike was one of my dearest and closest friends. We had a very unique relationship spanning 52 years. I always looked up to Mike and respected and admired him for the person he was. My heart goes out to his family for this sudden loss. There is definitely a hole left in our hearts, but we will always remember and cherish the good times we had together.

The McLelland Family,
I was very saddened when told Mike had passed away. I send my deepest sympathy to you all.My family and I have many good memories of Mike, Cher and family growing up across the street. Mike taught me how to water ski. Every time I see a 280Z I think of him. My thoughts are with you all.
