My husband, Rich, and I had the honor of meeting Mike about 5 yrs. ago. ( He helped Bob C. in a family lawsuit.) Mike was such an intelligent and interesting man. We always said that if we needed a lawyer in the future, we'd sure love to have him on our side. He was wonderful. May he rest in peace. My deepest sympathy to his family and colleagues.

To the Milligan Family
I’ve known Mike since our sophomore year in high school. I have so many memories of him. Riding the bus to the Springs. His reading a book on the way to school while standing up and hanging on to a pole. His quick wit and sassy remarks. Mr. Champeau’s biology class. Friday nights at his house on Ruggles Street, getting a fish fry from Oscar’s Tavern. Going to football and basketball games. His working during college at Tolibia Cheese. His teasing my mother and making her laugh. His blackberry brandy and sweet. His coming back to FdL and having a cup of coffee and piece of pie at Petries. Going to Bratwurst Days in Sheboygan. Visiting him in River Falls and once when he was teaching at Frederic. The trip to McCord AFB with George and Mike, and the trip back to Wisconsin with Mike. (Nothing like a road trip to get on somebody’s nerves, he was ready to drop me off in Montana). Visiting him in Saint Paul while he was in law school and he was living on Randolph Avenue. Visiting him in Hackensack (Kathleen was on a trip to Ireland). His and Kathleen’s wedding on the hottest day of the year in Prairie du Chien. I just remember a guy who was kind, gentle, caring, and a good friend.
"The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
