Michael Paul Mills

Michael Paul Mills, 36, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, departed this earth on August 25. His mom, Claire Aloan of Tully, NY, and his big sister, Virginia Mills Helliwell of Arcata, CA were blessed to be with him and will cherish our memories of our sweet boy. Michael had a lot to offer the world. Taken from us too young, he will forever be in our hearts. He is at peace at long last. We know he was greeted with open arms by his awesome dad, the late Roger Lydston Mills. Michael is also survived by step-siblings Jesse Mills of McKinleyville, CA and Beth Mills Stubblefield of Agua Dulce, CA.

Michael was born in Johnson City, NY, and grew up in Syracuse, NY, graduating from Corcoran HS in 2006. He attended Vermont Technical College where he studied construction management. He relocated to Cavendish, VT which became the much-loved home for Mike and his beloved dogs, including Ava, Charlie, Suka, and Bear. A memorial celebration for Michael will be held on Saturday, September 17 at 2 pm at St. John's Episcopal Church, 15 Orange St, Marcellus NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Michael may be made to Orenda Springs Experiential Learning Center in Marcellus NY (www.orendasprings.com) or to Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society in West Windsor VT (www.LucyMac.org).
