Michael C. Nardecchia

NARDECCHIA – Michael C., 61, Johnstown, died Oct. 9, 2007, at Windber Hospice. Born July 19, 1946, in Johnstown, son of the late Mitchael and Olga (Masorjak) Nardecchia. Survived by children: Douglas, married to the former Chongae Ko, Kelleen, Texas, and Christy Ann Nardecchia, and fiance, Jeff Graffius, Johnstown; and grandchildren, Christy Nardecchia, Brittany Lambrinos and Brooke Graffius. Also survived by former wife, Janice (Burkett) Nardecchia, and companion, Linda Grove and family. Brother of Stephen Nardecchia, married to the former Karen Jones, Johnstown, and Shirley, wife of Greg Confer, Harrisburg. Special fishing buddy and friend, Walt Mesnak. Employed by Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. Retired employee of Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. in the Franklin and Rosedale Coke Plant. Former custodian at Christ the Saviour Cathedral. A 1964 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. Past president of Slovak Education Society. A member of Minersville PNA and Local 3632, United Steelworkers of America. Friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Whetston. Private committal at the convenience of the family.
