Mike was always very helpful at work, I knew he would end up being a great instructor, as well as great coworker..
Mike always offered his friendly advice at work to make the job more pleasant and easier..I learned a lot from him and I will never forget some if the advice he has given me..wishing his family and friends all my condolences as a great man has returned home.

Uncle Mike, it is hard to believe that you are gone and that it has been over a month since you have left us. It is very difficult to find the words to describe the void that you have left us all with since you passed. Everyone you knew you touched in some way, somehow. Whether it was helping someone with their car, offering wise advise or simply just hanging out while eating a dinner from ManchuWOK and chatting about everything and anything. Not to mention, I can’t forget about your love for Tim Horton’s steeped teas. A drink that I have grown to love as well, thanks to you.
You were more than just an Uncle to all of your nieces and nephews because you made it a priority to take an interest in all of our lives. Whether it was to help us out with something or just simply listen to us tell you about our school day or our work day —- and you would truly listen. You were the definition of giving unconditional love to your family and friends.
To say you will be missed is an understatement and it is still very hard to believe that you are gone. The world has lost an incredible man and I know that anyone who knew you would agree with that statement.
Thank you for being such an incredible Uncle to me and to all of your nieces and nephews.
Rest In Peace Uncle Mike.

My sincere condolences to Mirella and Mike’s family. May you find peace during this very difficult time.
Mirella, this has been very hard for me to articulate how devastated I am for the the loss of your buddy, the love of your life, Michael. It is impossible to sum up 22 years of a life with your companion. May all of your memories bring you comfort as you absorb the shock of Mike’s loss.
It was a typical Wednesday afternoon as you and I went for a 2 hour walk through Springbank Park, we talked and enjoyed the beauty of the trees, watched the ducks float on the Thames river....so majestic and peaceful. When we got back to our cars I asked you what you were doing the rest of your evening....you said that you were going to put your groceries away, cook dinner and you/Mike were going to watch your shows.
Life as we knew it would never be the same again just three short hours later. Your unconsolable tears and heartache immeasurable for me to comprehend. You kept repeating that Mike’s worst fear was that he couldn’t breathe. Life is so cruel and unfair my sweet Mirella. Mike is not in pain and not afraid anymore. He is in peace. May his soul rest now.
You are the strongest woman I know. The outpouring of love and support since Mike’s passing is inspiring. This is because you are an amazing woman. You are the kindest, pure heart that shines a bright light. Although this time is the hardest in your life, your courage and perseverance will guide you moving forward. One step at a time, one day at a time and with love in your heart anything is possible.
I am blessed to have you in my life. I love you my beautiful sister

Uncle Mike was not only my godfather and uncle, but my mentor and best friend. We agreed on all the little things. We were always the only two to wear our hats at the dinner table, and the only two who would go sit on the couch after our plates were empty. I was always the first person to laugh at his jokes because his humour was my type of humour. I guess his humour was everyone’s type of humour because he never failed to make everyone laugh. Whenever I felt out of place at a family event he was the first person I’d gravitate to. He didn’t even need to say anything to make me feel happy. When I was with him I felt like I was with a buddy and we were in our own little world. He seemed to make all my problems go away every time I saw him. I appreciated him a lot more than he knew. I wish he knew and that I could have told him. But I have a feeling some things go without saying and he knew how I felt. Our relationship went without saying. We just effortlessly clicked. He just understood me. I’m not gonna stop missing him as much as I do now and I miss him more than anything in the world.

Mike was an integral part of my training when I hired with the railway in 2011, he stayed vigilant in making sure I learned how to do my job the right way, and expected the most of me, which helped mould me into the person and railroader I am today. Mikes fingerprints are all over the railroad, and was responsible for developing some of the best railroaders I’ve ever met. Condolences to all of Mikes family and friends, he will be missed dearly.

My dear wonderful husband and best buddy I could have asked for . I had you in my life for 22 years . I wasn’t always the most understanding wife when it came to car parts arriving at our door pretty much every day even the next day you left me . You would always say “ “relax just order some shoes or purses “ . And all would be good !
I would complain he didn’t cook , he would say “but I did I made Kraft dinner , or would he had a lunch-able. When he would tell me he would cook he picked up Japanese. I have had much sorrow in my life but this man was a gem , and I miss him so much . I know he will be with all my Angels and they will take care of each other .
He always said when he’s gone I would be in great hands for many people love me , and I know loved him!!!!!
He loved all my friends and welcomed everyone into our home .
We were that couple that just wanted to help all and make all happy . He will me missed by many , for he touched many hearts . It was his humour his hugs and yes sometimes called a spade a spade ! But it was his honesty and beautiful eyes I fell in love with ..
I will get that 65 CHEV finished Baba .
I will make you proud .
Your princess is on the project now with some help from muscle car junkies .
I miss my coffee buddy , I will miss my daily and nightly texts . ♥U Baba / Papa Bear . Until we meet again xoxoxo

My Uncle Mike was the sweetest, most caring and generous man I have ever known. He always there to give you advice, the tool to fix any problem or just a smile and a funny come back to let you know he cared. From the time I can remember he was always around to help his family or his friends, to take you for a ride on his motorcycle or to help you with a car question. The world will shine a little less bright without him here with us, and the countless memories we made will live on until we meet again. We will pour a strawberry palm bay just for you Uncle Mike. We love you and will miss you dearly until the end, and just know there is a seat at our wedding saved just for you

Mike was a dear brother in law to us. While he may be gone, he left us with many great memories and amusing anecdotes. The many photos we have with him will always remind us of his warmth and kindness. He was the true epitome of a free spirit. At our dinners you never knew if he would pull up on a Harley or one of his many vintage cars to give our girls a ride in. He was caring and honest, and wore his heart on his sleeve. Mike will remain in our hearts forever. RIP

Querida amiga, we share in this time of grief with you. We also share in celebrating the memories that Mike gave us. His kindness, welcoming smile and his warm hearted attitude towards friends was always a blessing. When talking to him about his muscle cars, the way his eyes would light up like a little boy always brought smiles and laughter. Knowing Mike was truly a privilege and a gift. When someone you admire and care for becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. Dear Mike rest in peace and in grace!
