In memory of
Dawn Lagergren
January 22, 2010
I just heard of Mike's accident and this terrible loss in your family. I am heartsick for you all and will be praying for your healing.
I will always remember playing with the Oderman kids when you lived in Glyndon. We usually played boys against the girls but for some reason I usually ended up on the boy's team. I guess you could say I had a crush on Mike if you can call it that at such a young age.
Then we came to visit you on our trip to North Dakota (Medora) in the summer of 1983 and although MANY years had passed, the games began as if we hadn't missed a beat!
You are an awesome family and I know you will support eachother. No one should have to experience such a loss...especially when Mike was in the prime of his life. I know my words won't heal your pain but I wanted to share my memories of Mike and your family and hopefully bring you a smile when that is probably the last thing you feel you can do right now.
Take care, Dawn Schellack Lagergren

I met Mike back in 2006, from our lead the way training classes in Denver. I instantly became friends with him. I always looked forward to seeing him on our trips.I enjoyed being around him, he was always upbeat and happy. He was one of the finest people that I have met in recent years. I will miss him.

I was saddened to hear about mikes death. Seems he was a well like man. He was several grades ahead of me in school at St. B's But even back then he seemed very nice. My prayers go out to all family and friends during this hard time.

So sorry for your loss. Although I did not know Mike all that well, the few interactions I had with him at work were positive ones. I saw him day to day as the area he worked in was close to mine and I never saw him without a smile on his face. My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead. May your memories bring you comfort.

To Mike and his family. I can't possibly express my sympathy to you. A great loss to your family, but how lucky Heaven is to have such a wonderful man. Mike was truly a great person and always showed pride in everything he did. He was a good father and a very hard worker. I will always have great memories of him! God Bless to all.

Mike is now an Angel looking down upon you! Hold onto your memories!
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Mike was a great co-worker. I did not know him for very long but it was if I had known him for years. He was always making light of every situation when I interacted with him. He will be sorrily missed. My prayers go out to his family. God Bless.

I only met Mike a couple of times on the sidelines of soccer matches for our daughters, but I enjoyed the conversations we had. He seemed pretty impressed that I had family memebers that lived across the street from Lambeau Field in Green Bay so I asssumed he was a Packer backer! Jaylynn and family, Karlie and I send our sincerest sympathies to you and we are proud to call ourselves members of the Bravo family.

I worked with Mike when we all opened the Jones Store together back in 1999. He truly was one of the best people I had ever had the chance to know. He loved his kids so much and was so very, very proud to be their dad. I heard all about his family in North Dakota and he loved you all so much. He used to say "Semper Fi' to me because his was so proud of his brother who was a Marine and my son was considering enlisting and I was struggling with that. He called me "Rock" and my daughter "little Rock". We are so sad to hear about his accident but so happy our lives were blessed when he crossed our path if only for a short time. With our heartfelt Sympathy, Dori, Lindsey and TJ LaRocca

Things are going to be tough without my dad around. I'd come home during my lunch hour, and him during his dinner break everyday and we'd watch episodes of the Office. I remember just last week he was telling me how badly he was going to embarass me at my graduation, yelling out my nicknames at the top of his lungs, airhorn included. It's going to be really hard without having him around to scare the crap out of my first boyfriend, or to have him walk me down the aisle when I get married. It's going to be really hard during the next few years when some of my major events in life happen, without him by my side.
Love you dad.
