MICHAEL OLEY

I had the pleasure of knowing Michael Oley in Broken Hill in 1967 having lived in the Mica St Batchelor quarters with Michael and 15 other young engineers.
It was very sad to learn of his departure from this world may he rest in piece.
Learned of Michaels passing from a mutual friend only a few days ago.

I just noticed the obituary in The Age for Michael. Very sad to hear that Michael has passed away. It does sound like his death was a peaceful one; I hope that is true.

From cross-country skiing and building igloos together through to many a wonderful dinners with great food, wine and conversation, Michael was a delightful companion and warm generous friend. We will miss him. Our love and thoughts are with Liz. Jan and Geoffrey Ewing
