Michael E Overholser

Michael Edward Overholser, 65, Indiana passed away Saturday August 4, 2018.Michael was born July 24, 1953 in Criple Creek Colorado to William "Bill" Overholser and Ruth (King) Garity.

Michael graduated in Germany with the class of 1970.He enlisted in the Navy in 1972 and was Honorably discharged in 1978.Michael was very musically talented.He wrote his own music and recorded several unpublished songs.He enjoyed playing the guitar and banjo, among other instraments.He had an amazing voice, and loved entertaining.He took pride in turning a fixer upper into a place he called home where he enjoyed cooking and gatherings with friends.

Michael is survived by his mother Ruth, daughter Amanda Cowell, brother Jeff Garity, three grandchildren, niece Dana, aunts Linda and Jean and, special friends Bob Riley and Robert Morris.

Those that preceded Michael in death is his father Bill, brothers Paul and Steven and an aunt, Mary.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will take place at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel; 3400 South Webster Street on Tuesday August 14, 2018 at 1pm with Bishop Dennis Marler officiating. Friends and family may gather from 11am to 1pm prior to the service. Burial with Military Honors will follow the service at Crown Point Cemetery. Everyone is invited to join the family at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints following the graveside for a meal.
