Michael! Even though I'm worlds away I still think of you. I wish I could have hugged you one more time and thanked you for always making me feel welcomed. I know I didn't know you for long but, you're love and kindness will be forever appreciated. You are magical and I hope to pass that on to others. You showed me so much love when my spirits were low. I wish I could have seen your amazing face one more time, but I'm glad I got to speak to you before I embarked on an adventure that has changed my life. I will keep your memory alive by overcoming obstacles and showing love when it's needed the most. We will meet again and thank you again for inviting me into your special world. Thank you Mary and Brian for always welcoming me. I miss you and I'll always love you

Michael left much too early, yet he left us all so much better for having known him. Every time we met he had a smile on his face which soon came to ours...that was his gift.

We were
So fortunate to meet Michael when he began working with our autistic son. He quickly became a favorite for my son(and all of us!) a ray of sunshine in a difficult time for us. He helped give my son a voice and skills needed to thrive in his daily life. We are so thankful for the time we had with Michael. This is so incredibly sad. We aspire to live our lives the way Michael did with live and never passing judgment. What a loss here on earth. Our love to his entire family!

To Michael's Family,

My first introduction to Michael was on a busy weekend night in Salem, I was his waitress. From the moment I first approached the table, I was greeted with instant warmth and excitement by Michael. He was kind, funny and over the top with every move he made and we clicked immediately. Before he and his guest had even ordered their meals, we found ourselves in a conversation so long my other customers were clearly frustrated with my performance. However, I didn't mind because I knew I had made a friend. At the end of the night we exchanged numbers and ensured each other we would get together soon.

Though we only got together a few times before I moved, I feel truly blessed to have been introduced to Michael. He is a person that made my life brighter and I am so grateful to him for that. Though I can't imagine the pain you are feeling, I hope that in the days to come you are comforted by the immense love that Michael brought to everyone he met, even the waitress.

Sincerely,
Alexis

Mary and Brian,

Michael Paul Keefe was a beautiful loving yong man full of light and laughter who brought happiness to all who had the privilege of calling him a friend.
He made our times at the Cape such a blast as he shared his stories and called you Betty or Queen. He was so kind to all of my family but especially my daughter Emily who he had a special friendship with as he took her under his wing. Every aspect of Michaels life was love including his incredible work with autistic children. All the families of the students he taught adored him.
I know Michaels amazing spirit lives on with all of us especially you as his parents. You loved him with all of your hearts and he shared the same love back with both of you.
I am so sorry for this tremendous loss. May he may dancing wiith Papa and Nana in heaven.

Love you dearest friend

I read about your story in the Boston Globe. As a mother, I mourn with you. As the mother of an ASD child who relies on therapists to work with her child, I'm thankful for people like Michael. You are incredibly lucky to have a child like Michael. May his memory be a blessing.
